REIKI (pronounced ray-kee)
REIKI is a simple, non-intrusive and extremely powerful therapy. A treatment can last up to an hour or so. It is usually
carried out with the patient fully clothed, laying on a therapy couch or can be given in a sitting position if the patient
prefers. The therapist gently places his/her hands over the patient in various positions, from head to toe. Each position
is held for 3/5 minutes (or as long as may be necessary). No pressure is exerted, making REIKI an ideal treatment for the
very young, elderly, disabled, pregnant women and those recovering from surgery. The whole body is treated, not just an isolated
area. The energy goes where it is most needed.
When undergoing a treatment you will feel a very pleasant sensation
of warmth and possibly a gentle tingling in the area being treated. As the energy comes into balance, stress and tension are
released and a deep sense of relaxation develops. A wonderful feeling of well-being is established. You may even drift off
to sleep!
REIKI complements and increases the effectiveness of most kinds of medication and other treatments.
It is completely safe, natural and holistic (it is not attached to any religion). As a means of healing it has been in use
for thousands of years. It is healing energy in the truest sense.
REIKI can be beneficial in most cases of stress,
tension, headaches, sinusitis, menstrual problems, cystitis, migraines, asthma, psoriasis, ME, constipation, eczema, arthritis,
